This is defiantly one of the most unique headlines around the Garden State this week. If you missed it, on Monday a big rig flipped on Route 287 in Bergen County. Thousands of frozen chicken wings scattered on the road in Franklin Lakes. The driver was taken to the hospital but he is expected to make a full recovery. The cause of the crash is unknown. THE WORST PART... all of the chicken wings had to be thrown away! Booooooo

Obviously the driver being healthy is the number one priority but knowing the chicken wings had to be thrown away absolutely breaks my heart. If I was at the scene of the crash I would have made sure the driver was okay and once I got the thumbs up, I would have immediately picked up as many frozen chicken wings as possible. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE FIVE SECOND RULE?!?! Prep the raw chicken, add the wings to the deep fryer or grill, add the sauce and EAT! Just writing this article has intrigued me to devour chicken wings this coming weekend. Bone-In or boneless, whatever they are, I am ready to go to town! I am also always open to tasting different sauces. Some of my favorite sauces are sweet chili, lemon pepper, teriyaki, hot and of course the classic honey-BBQ.

Jersey Shore restaurants are home to some of the best chicken wings in the state! Broadway Bar & Grill in Point Pleasant Beach, Sonny's Grille in Belmar, Tuscan Bistro Bar in Toms River and Jersey Shore BBQ in Belmar all made the recent top 44 best New Jersey wing list on NJ.com. ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND AND IF YOU PLAN ON EATING WINGS...ENJOY!
