First, I want to take this time to thank everyone who has supported me during this turbulent recovery.

You all have been amazing and it truly does put a smile on my face when I think about all of the gestures that have been made.

Not sure what I'm referring to? Here is the run down.

But long story short: I had two major spine surgeries in the second half of 2021 and am still recovering.

This, by far, has been the toughest thing I have ever been through both physically and mentally.

I am beyond frustrated that I am still as limited as I am and that my life is still so different.

But I know there are many others out there who are in the process of coming back from a major surgery of their own and (not to sound cheesy but) you must know that you are not alone.

It takes such a toll on your body and it takes time to get back to your full self.

How do I still feel different you ask?

In quite a few ways:

I had a laminectomy back in July and then a double spinal fusion in October. And yet -- I am still far from feeling back to my normal self.

Again, thank you for the support and thank you for reading if you've made it with me this far.

I know it is all part of the process but man, am I over it.

But here is a photo of the best nurse I could ever find.

If you are in the middle of a recovery of any time, I wish you nothing but the best.

Here is some advice I should probably give to myself: be kind to yourself because your body is doing the best it can.

Feel better soon, Jersey Shore and I'll see you out there.

Now let's change the subject to something a bit more happy: PIZZA!

Did you know that Dave Portnoy has spent a lot of time reviewing New Jersey pizzerias?

Did you know that I agree with his ranking only half of the time?

Here is every single review; I am eager to hear what you think:

Here's a taste of the NJ pizza joints Dave Portnoy has reviewed

Dave Portnoy, commonly known as El Presidente, is the founder of Barstool Sports. Somewhere along the way, he decided to start reviewing local pizzerias, and the concept took off. This isn't the entire list, but it's a small sample to get you started.
