When I was young, the faster the ride, the less I wanted to be on it, and that carried over to adulthood for me.
But there is a ride that instantly takes me back to childhood: the Log Flume at Six Flags Great Adventure. It made such an impact on me that I can close my eyes and hear, smell, and feel exactly what I was experiencing the last time I was on it, and that was decades ago.
The ride opened in 1974, and there have been so many amazing new rides since then.
