Figures this would happen in Jersey.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested and charged with second-degree child endangerment after she allegedly brought her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth.

According to ABC News, Patricia Krentcil of Nutley claims her daughters sunburn was a result of doing gardening outside during the recent warm spell.

When her daughter Anna went to school and the nurse noticed a rash, Anna said it was from going tanning with her mother.

Now, obviously, from looking at her face, this woman has a problem with tanning. I'm all for a nice golden glow, but this lady looks ridiculous.

As someone who has been in the kind of stand-up tanning booth Krentcil took her daughter into, I feel the need to clarify (though not in any way defend this woman.)

Stand-up booths have two (tiny) sections. One where you undress, and the other where actual bulbs are, with a door separating the two. I highly doubt she stood in the bulb section with her daughter because 1) I don't think they'd both fit and 2) NO WAY would this woman allow for THAT kind of tan line.

It's more likely she had her daughter stay in the outer section, which I'm sure still gets at least a little UV, and definitely still gets very warm.

In any case, it seems to me this woman needs some kind of professional help. And a dermatologist. Immediately.
