I was driving on the Garden State Parkway this past weekend, and it crossed my mind that I wouldn't want my kid or anyone else's driving on this road. It's that bad.
There's way too much aggression and competitiveness, not to mention apathy and meanness, for someone we care about to drive on this road without a ton of driving experience.

The Parkway seems like an obvious choice as a road inexperienced New Jersey drivers should avoid, but we all know it's not the only one.

I thought the best way to compile a Do-Not-Drive list for inexperienced Garden State drivers was to ask people statewide to name the road they would put at the top of their list.

Of course, the Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike were the top answers for many drivers, but the other answers covered almost all of the regions of New Jersey.

#3 Route 9 - Most complaints came from the Manalapan and Freehold sections of the road.

#2 - 287 - Between the big trucks, the traffic, and the horrible driving, this road nearly topped the list.
#1 Route 22 - as John S. said, "22 duh... Springfield through Newark, it's a war zone". And hundreds of you agreed.
In fairness, the answer, "all of them", got more votes than any other, and who in New Jersey can argue with that?
