New Jersey is full of residents with quick and hysterical senses of humor, and when we asked them to play fill-in-the-blank, they didn't disappoint.

I spend a lot of time on social media, and I enjoy the local town pages because some of the comments crack me up.

That gave me an idea. What would happen if we asked Garden State residents to play a round of fill-in-the-blank? We were sure to get some very funny responses, and we did.

Of course, the question is important. We need one that will allow New Jersey residents to answer in their from-the-hip, unfiltered way.

So, here was the fill-in-the-blank we gave to New Jersey residents. "At a certain age, you should stop_________".

We had a great response immediately from Helen in New Brunswick. Who would disagree with this?

At a certain age, you should stop giving the finger. It's not a good look, especially on the roads. Helen, New Brunswick

Driving in New Jersey wouldn't be the same without the finger, but we should only use it when we look good doing it.

Some Funny Responses From New Jersey Residents

There were a ton of great answers to our fill-in-the-blank. Vinny in Marlboro begged guys to stop wearing their hats backwards after a certain age, and that is solid advice, too.

There was also some fashion advice from Diana in Belmar. It's the kind of advice we all hope reaches the proper people.
