That's not us saying it, it's a report issued at Bookies.com, and the results reveal that it's not easy to find a state more romantic than New Jersey.
According to the study, this is a result that we've been working toward for the last 5 years.
How Did New Jersey Get Such A High Romance Rating?
The average of the Garden State's romance score over the last 5 years is 93.2, making us the 3rd most romantic state in America.

At our peak romance in the last half-decade, we scored 100 in 2020, the year the pandemic started.
The data was calculated using Google searches for "Valentine's Day", especially in the days leading up to the holiday itself.
New Jersey Is Top 3 For Romance
When the calculation was done, only Delaware (94.6) and West Virginia (98) had a higher average score than New Jersey.

The state with the lowest romance score over the last 5 years is Oregon, with an average score of 60.6. Ouch.
