New Jersey Wedding Guests Face Rising Costs This Wedding Season: Here’s What They’re Paying
Wedding Season Is Here
It's wedding season in New Jersey, and excitement is building as couples count down to their big day.
And while much of the focus leading up to the main event is on the cost of hosting a wedding, with many in the Garden State spending nearly $50,000 or more, the price tag for guests can also add up quickly.

A new poll shows how attending a wedding is becoming increasingly expensive. You get that invitation in the mail, and you're excited to celebrate the couple's special day, but you know it's going to come with a big price tag.
Between the wedding gift, a new outfit, travel expenses, accommodations, and everything else that comes along with attending, being a wedding guest is going to cost you, but just how much are you willing to spend?

How Guests Are Managing Costs During New Jersey's Wedding Season
According to a new poll from PayPal, about 1 in 3 Americans expect to spend at least $600 to attend a wedding this year, while 19% say they'll spend $1,000 or more, People reports.
Guests aren't willing to miss the couple's big day, but many are cutting back on certain expenses to help make ends meet so they can be there. That daily coffee run to Starbucks may have to go. Making coffee at home is a lot less expensive.
90% say they would give something up to be there for their best friend at their wedding. What are they willing to give up?
Dining out or ordering takeout topped the list, followed by nights out, shopping for new clothes, daily coffee runs, and gym memberships.
