New Jersey residents do a lot of things that aggravate us, and one of the places they bother us the most is in the supermarket.

I think the fact that this broken supermarket rule bothers New Jersey shoppers more than most is that we deal with the same nonsense on the roads every day.

We all deal with slow drivers in the fast lane, people not reacting to a light turning green, and many other obstacles to getting where we need to go. In other words, people who are in our way.

They take a ridiculous amount of time making this decision while simultaneously using their shopping cart to block the entire aisle or the entire canned vegetable section.

The etiquette experts make it clear that you should park your cart as close to the item you are deciding upon as possible, as well as make a decision as quickly as possible.

That doesn't sound hard, but we all know nothing in New Jersey is easy, so why should this be?

My advice is simple. It's the same advice I give to New Jersey drivers. Simply have some awareness of the people around you, and things will go more easily for everyone.
