NJEA Cancels Teacher Convention
The annual New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) teachers' convention scheduled for next week in Atlantic City has been canceled in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
NJEA President Barbara Keshishian made the decision for the safety of the attendees.
Thousands of people would need to drive along roads that may still be unsafe, in addition to the massive clean up happening within Atlantic City.
She added that the convention will be back next year.
