Two lucky winners' numbers matched all five numbers drawn.  The two winners split the $1,329,672.00 prize equally giving them $664,836.00 each before taxes.  Not bad right?!?!  The winners were from the Saturday, July 31 drawing.  The winning numbers were  09, 13, 26, 30, and 38 and the XTRA number was: 02.

The retailers that sold the tickets are happy too!  They will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. The winning tickets were sold at:

Somerset County: Wegmans Food Store, 724 Route 202 S., Bridgewater

Ocean County: 7-Eleven #16164, 403 Main St. Route 9, Lanoka Harbor

I was curious if lottery winners have to be public in New Jersey. I know I would personally want that information private. It seems like it is a big flashing sign telling every scammer or thief that you have money for them to steal. Plus you know people will come out of the woodwork once they know you had a windfall of winnings. What I found was that since 2020, a law passed under Gov. Murphy that it is the winners choice if they want to be public or not which I think is great.

Whoever you are I wish you great enjoyment with your new winnings!  If you do want to scream it from the mountain tops the Jersey Shore Morning Show is a great place for you to call in and celebrate!  Congratulations! Whahoooo!
