Ocean Police have found the man behind a rash of home burglaries in the Oakhurst section over the past several weeks.

Police say that some of the residences the Irvington man entered were unlocked and some sustained damage when he forced entry.

Detectives found evidence tying 39-year old Randolph McLeod to the crimes.

On June 3 McLeod was located at his residence in Irvington and taken into custody by Detectives.

Detectives have recovered proceeds from numerous burglaries from multiple jurisdictions.

McLeod was charged with Possession of a Weapon, Certain Persons not to possess Weapons and multiple counts of burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending his initial court appearance.
