Ocean Township Police made quick work of an investigation into car burglaries at the Twin Brook Apartment complex Sunday by arresting a resident a witness saw commit the crime.

A resident of the complex saw a man burglarizing several vehicles in the parking lot around 10:47 pm.

Officers responded to the area and began a search for the accused who was determined to be 36-year old Javar Johnson.

Officers responded to Johnson's last known address and upon their arrival observed what was believed to be proceeds from the vehicle burglaries in the area of his home.

Javar was found, taken into custody and subsequently transported to police headquarters for processing.

Police also tied Johnson to being involved in two other vehicle burglaries in the same area.

He was with charged with three counts of Burglary and transported Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
