Everyone knows the best part of shopping at Costco is THE FREE SAMPLES!

And sadly, we had to go a very long time without them because of Covid-19 safety protocols. But today, USA Today shared that Costco made a very glorious announcement - free samples will be returning to stores in June! THANK GOODNESS. Here's some information from the article about what we know so far:

Richard Galanti, chief financial officer and executive vice president at Costco, said the retailer will introduce full sampling in phases.

About 170 of Costco's approximately 550 locations will bring back full sampling by the first week of June, with the rest of locations returning to full sampling by the end of June.

Woohoo! I checked out the Costco sites for the Brick and Manahawkin locations, and there aren't any specific announcements about when the return will happen at these stores.

And if you're concerned about what safety precautions the store will take when re-introducing free samples, fear not. The article noted that the samples will be behind plexiglass, they'll be given out one at a time to avoid people crowding around the samples.

Costco samples are amazing - who doesn't love free food? I personally love when they have cheese samples - it's delicious and makes me feel a little classy.

Oh, and PS: USA Today also said that food court seating will be back open soon too. It's so nice to see things getting back to normal here in Ocean County!
