Asbury’s Old Man Rafferty’s Sold

A legendary Asbury Park restaurant has been sold and its future is up in the air.

Old Man Rafferty's on Cookman Avenue has been sold to The Shore House Bar and Grill in Point Pleasant.

Many will say that Old Man Rafferty's was the restaurant that got the Asbury Park revival started.

Mark Jakuboski, owner of Rafferty's told the APP that he accepted the offer because his family-style restaurant has been having a hard time fitting in with the new Asbury style.

Here's hoping that Old Man Rafferty's stays true to its roots under new ownership and this Asbury Park mainstay sticks around.
