Lakehurst police arrest a Pennsylvania couple found with methamphetamine in their 2014 Chrysler 200 at a traffic stop near the Lakehurst Circle and Route 70 west, just a stone's throw from the police department on Sunday around 6:41 pm.

Police say the couple failed to yield to oncoming traffic which is the reason why they were pulled over.

Once the car was stopped, Officer Robert Schroeck conducted an on scene investigation which led to a probable cause search of the car which uncovered the meth, along with CDS and drug paraphernalia.

Ryan M. Mistishen, 25 and Bailey E. McFadden, 25, both of New Ringgold Pennsylvania, were arrested and brought down the road to police headquarters.

Mistishen was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and was also issued three motor vehicle summonses for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Yield and Delaying Traffic.

McFadden was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both were processed and issued a summons for their charges and later released pending a mandatory court appearance with the Ocean County Superior Court.

Officer Schroeck was assisted by Sergeant Matthew Kline, Officer Daniel Hourigan, Ocean County Sheriff's K-9 Officer Kevin Fennessy and his K-9 partner Stosh.

The public is reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
