Tasty Pt. Pleasant, NJ Favorite For Sale as Owner Pursues Her Dream
There's nothing wrong with chain food. However, no chain will ever stand up to a local neighborhood establishment. That's why this news is a bummer.
We live at the Shore and we take our subs (yes, subs - not hoagies) seriously.
Shore sub shops are the best because almost all of them will stack a sandwich so massive that you can barely fit it in your mouth. Often, one sub is enough for a family of four.
For the past 17 years, U.S. Subs on Ocean Road in Pt. Pleasant has been satisfying cravings and serving generations.
Owner Stephanie “Petey” Cucci is about as Pt. Pleasant as it gets. She was born in Point Pleasant Beach, graduated from Point Pleasant Beach High School in 1999, and studied at Ocean County College. She has two children.
Petey had the chance to take over ownership of the former U.S. Subs and jumped at the opportunity. She and her staff didn't skip a beat. Happy customers (and full) customers continued to make U.S. Subs their "spot."
The 5-star reviews tell the story.

The BEST and biggest pork roll egg and cheese sandwich I've ever had. Their subs are huge too!! Great place, great food!!
On Petey's U.S. Subs Facebook page, Stephanie wrote that she and her family have talked it over and decided to put Petey's up for sale.
She added that she has two passions. Deli and sign language. "Petey" continued that she only has two more classes left before she gets her certificate. She said that she will continue to do her best being at the sub shop and thanked everyone for their kindness and understanding.
Stephanie also said that if there is anyone interested in buying the business, to contact her.
First, a big thank you to "Petey" for keeping U.S. Subs going and putting her mark on the business. I wish her nothing but the best in her future adventures.
Hopefully, the new owner will be interested in keeping the legend that is U.S. Subs going.
