It seems like the rumor mill is churning, and I, like you, am just trying to get some solid answers.

The other night I was perusing Facebook when I stumbled upon a post that made me scratch my head a little bit.

I follow a lot of Ocean County and Monmouth County groups, it's a great way to see what's happening in our area at a glance.

I saw something in the local Toms River & Neighbor Eats group that made me a little bummed out.

Also, if you're looking for pretty good recommendations on where to eat around Ocean County, Toms River & Neighbor Eats is a solid group to follow.

Anyway the other night I saw that a local Toms River restaurant was closing, and it's a place that I've been meaning to try for a while!

The thing is, after looking into it a little more, I'm not wholly sure that the business is going away completely, and I'm hoping someone out there can help me find an answer.

If you haven't been here before, I'm sure you've at least passed it and have seen their sign from 37.

It's in a great location for a restaurant too, with lots of traffic passing it every day.

The place is known for having a pretty wide menu from Po Boys to hot sausage sandwiches to chicken sandwiches and burgers.

I think what really set them apart was the hot dog portion of their menu, featuring pretty creative dogs like the BLT, The New Yorker which featured sauerkraut, onions, and spicy mustard, or the Mac and Cheese Dog.

Yes, I'm talking about CHOMP! off 37 in Toms River.

I saw a post on Facebook saying they're closing, and the building is for rent, but also saw that maybe CHOMP! was moving locations.

The first thing I did was drive out there to check it out for myself and can confirm the building is for rent.

That being said, when you look at the CHOMP! Facebook page, they have a post up that says they've just closed up for the season.

In the comment section, they state that they are looking to relocate to a new location in April of 2023, specifically where the Farm Store is currently located in Toms River.

User Frank V. said that he's an employee of the Farm Store and is pretty sure they're staying right where they are.

So, is CHOMP! just closed for the season, closed for good, or are they relocating during the winter?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated because I'd love to get myself a BLT dog and a side of disco fries!
