Last year, APP.com staff writers went along with the Lincroft Fire Co. to deliver presents as part of the RAINE Foundation's -- a Hazlet nonprofit that helps families and children in crisis -- annual Santa Run.

However this year, the sleigh is in the shop!

Well that did not stop Dominick Antonino from getting a head start on delivering the presents to children in the Lincroft area.

“Luckily, the fire department is giving me a lift,” said Antonino with the Lincroft Fire Co. nearby.

There were a total of 35 Santa's sent to deliver presents to over 300 families!

“This makes my Christmas,” said Santa-dressed Matawan Deputy Fire Chief Richard Michitsch. “It’s not about the presents. It’s about making the kids happy — and it puts a smile on my face. After you see a lot of stuff all year, this makes it good.”

So good to see that the spirit of giving is alive and well at the Jersey Shore. Check out the original story at APP.com.
