Red Oak Diner Demolished To Build A Lidl
Rest In Peace to the Jersey Shore Red Oak Diner.
The establishment that was located on Route 35 was demolished with plans for a Lidl, a German supermarket, to take its place. Apparently, there will be two other Lidl's built at the Jersey Shore. (pronounced "leedle")
"It is a landmark that I am sorry to see go, but it is progress for Hazlet," said Mayor Susan M. Kiley.
Lidl is aiming to build 100 stores along the East Coast within the next year, so a heads up to ShopRite, Pathmark, Aldi, Stop and Shop....watch your back.
