Restaurant Madness 2016: The Exhibition Games

Restaurant Madness officially begins on March 1, when we'll bust out the brackets and let your votes crown the Best Restaurant at the Jersey Shore.

To get you ready for the big competition, let's whet your appetite with a few exhibition games! Let's go!

There will be four battles for you to decide: Best Breakfast, Best Quick Eats, Best Seasonal Restaurant, and Best Specialty restaurant.

Here are the contestants:

Best Breakfast: Meemom's, Wall; Mariner's Cove, Brielle; Amy's, Long Branch; Inbetween Cafe, Red Bank; Toast, Asbury Park; Shut Up and Eat, Toms River; Taylor Sam's, Brick; Buttered Biscuit, Bradley Beach

Best Quick Eats: Hansel 'n' Griddle, Red Bank; Greek Eats, Shrewsbury; Joe Leone's, Pt. Pleasant Beach; The French Market, Rumson; The Cheese Cave, Red Bank; The Speakeatery, Asbury Park; Mulberry St., Brick; Whipped Creperie, Red Bank

Best Seasonal Restaurant: The Chicken or The Egg, LBI; Boondocks Fishery, Red Bank; Jenkinson's Pavilion, Point Pleasant Beach; Ohana Grill, Lavallette; The Columns, Avon

Best Specialty Restaurant: Kitch Organic, Red Bank; Good Karma Cafe, Red Bank; Cavé, A Paleo Eatery, Asbury; Kaya's Kitchen, Belmar

Voting for each battle will be done using the polls below, and will end on Monday, Feb 29 at noon. Each exhibition game winner will be announced when we release the official Restaurant Madness bracket on Tuesday, March 1!
