The deal was completed last week and announced yesterday, according to nj.com. According to the report, the federal and state government will split the $3.5 million bill, and the responsibility of building the park and maintaining it will belong to Sea Bright.

The plot of land, which is 1 acre and formerly the Anchorage Apartments, is located on Ocean Avenue, near the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge.  The state DEP says that for management purposes, the parcel will be considered a part of the Leonardo State Marina.  Sea Bright is working on a design for the project.
