We've seen this with other shows before this one but the official ruling on Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park is now requiring that all attendees either show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken 3 days before attending the festival.  So in other words, you better plan if you have not vaxed.

This is a BIG event. It draws over 50K people and with that kind of traffic there is a greater responsibility there.  The headliners?  Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Idol were recently announced. Not too shabby.

The people organizing such a large event don't want to be responsible to creating an unsafe environment so they are confident in their decision. If you are anti-vax then at least you have an option for showing a negative COVID which is way more flexible than I thought they would be. So if you are going, you have to prepare for this in advance and get your timing right...if you are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be in hand within 72 hours (3 days) of first day attending Sea.Hear.Now.

Of course the CDC is now recommending that everyone in New Jersey wear a mask due to the recent spike.

The concert is sold out so that means there will be A LOT of people on the Asbury Park Beachfront on Sept. 18 and 19. There will also be a surf contest and live performances from Patti Smith, The Avett Brothers, and Patti Scialfa. Vax up or test up your choice but make sure you have a plan in place so you don't miss this stellar show!
