Well hello to my fellow Jersey Shore folks!

So just like a lot of the other times I have spotted something odd at the Jersey Shore, I was taking my dog, Carolina, for a walk l when I spotted something that was a bit odd.

Last night on March 23rd, 2021, we both were frollicking on the beach -- don't you frollick on the beach too? -- when I spotted an area of the sky that alarmed me about a mile or two from where we were.

The area of the sky was definitely over the Seaside Heights boardwalk.

At first, I grabbed Carolina thinking that the light was a fire. Scary moment...let me tell you.

But when we ran up to the top of the ramp that is used to enter and exit the beach, I saw a bunch of lights and smoke.....but no fire.

Carolina and I took a walk down a few blocks to see if we could figure out what was going on.

Well....we couldn't but I was able to get a few photos.

Let's take a look at the photos below and if you know what the heck went down, email me at Nicole.Murray@townsquaremedia or give me a buzz on 94.3 The Point's number which is (732) 643-0943.

Was there an event? Was there an accident? OH MY GOD....maybe a bonfire?!

There is no way those are clouds or anything to do with Mother Nature. It was just to extreme....regular sky to *POOF* smoke everywhere.

Any insight would be helpful!

Thank youuuuu

LOOK: Lakewood, Brick wildfire a 'near catastrophe'

A forest fire near the Jersey Shore that shut down the Garden State Parkway, sent neighbors fleeing and led to a firefighter's hospitalization in critical condition was “a very, very near catastrophe,” authorities said a day later on March 15.
