Starbucks has a very special promotion going on this month that we all should share far and wide.

For the entire month of December, Starbucks is offering free coffee for health care workers, first responders and anyone else who is considered to be on the "front lines" during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Here is the full list of who is eligible for the free coffee: doctors, nurses, public health workers, pharmacists, dispatchers, firefighters, paramedics, police officers, dentists and dental hygienists, mental health workers (therapist, psychologist, social worker, counselor, etc.), hospital staff such as janitors, housekeeping/security, and active-duty military.

Those who are on the front lines will receive a free tall brewed coffee, hot or iced. (I drink iced coffee year round so don't worry, I get the important of coffee temperature)

IMPORTANT: If you know of other offers that are available for our frontline workers, PLEASE email me at Nicole.Murray@townsquaremedia.com so I can help to get the word out.

Obviously this group of people is more than deserving.

I do love that Starbucks' reasoning for this promotion is to shine a spotlight on these hardworking individuals because let's face it, some of the hype around their efforts has died down a bit since we are 9 months into this pandemic.

"Our hope with this is to reignite the movement of gratitude and to show those on the front line how much they are appreciated," Virginia Tenpenny, Starbucks vice president of global social impact, said in an interview with USA TODAY. "For us, we believe that one way we can do this is by offering a free cup of coffee."

And that is not all. Starbucks is urging other companies to find ways to support our front line workers.

"Hopefully other brands will join us in thinking about how can they use their platform to again show support," Tenpenny said. "Little deposits in morale can really go a long way, just so that they feel the support from our community."

Front line workers can get their free coffee at any U.S. Starbucks locations as well as select licensed stores.

And one more thing.

To our Front Line Workers:

We are now 9 months into this pandemic and I just want to say, once again, THANK YOU!

When this pandemic thing was a bit newer, there was a lot of attention put on your efforts and I want to make sure that this trend continues.

You are keeping society afloat. You are helping other people's family members before helping your own. And we honestly don't know where we would be without you.

So enjoy your coffee. It is only a portion of the Thank You that you deserve.

And one more time: If you know of other offers that are available for our frontline workers, PLEASE email me at Nicole.Murray@townsquaremedia.com so I can help to get the word out.
