There are a lot of people who have been actually making more on unemployment than from their regular jobs during this pandemic.

And that is because of the additional $600 stimulus check deposited each week in addition to peoples' unemployment check.

But it looks like there has been some confusion about when this additional cash flow will come to an end -- and it is sooner than you think. .

It is stated in multiple places that these additional stimulus checks will run out on Friday, July 31st -- so naturally, people are thinking that is when it will end.

According to APP.com, the final payday that should be listed is Sunday, July 26th because unemployment is paid, "on a weekly or bi weekly basis with a defined end date being on Saturday or Sunday."

So in layman's terms, they operate by each full week rather than by individual days.

"The (Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation) $600 can be paid for weeks ending no later than the week ending prior to Friday, July 31, 2020,'' the U.S. Department of Labor said in a statement. "For all states except (New York), that is Saturday, July 25th. New York’s end date is Sunday, July 26th."

There is some good news though.

Usually in New Jersey, residents can collect unemployment for a maximum of 26 weeks. However, being that New Jersey is still recuperating from the pandemic, residents will be allowed to collect unemployment for an additional 13 weeks.

This will be an adjustment to go back to "regular," whatever that means anymore.

But at least everyone has a bit more time to try and get back on their own feet.
