SUEZ begins water improvement projects on Toms River roads
SUEZ crews have begun work on water infrastructure improvement projects along certain areas of Toms River over the next two months.
The project is designed to improve water quality and service for residents and businesses.
Crews will be replacing water mains with a combination of 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipes.
Here are the roads in Toms River where you can expect to see work being done.
- Adams Avenue, Parkwood Avenue and Continental Avenue
- Coolidge Avenue between Windsor Avenue and Red Cedar Street
- Massachusetts Avenue between Fortune Court and North Maple Avenue
- Roosevelt Avenue between Adams Street and South Street, which includes 15 side street tie-ins
- West Briar Avenue between Pearl Drive, Schoolhouse Lane and Princess Court
"Customers should know that their water dollars are being put to good use. We are investing approximately $1.2-million in over 6,000 feet or about 1.2 miles of new water mains. Building a sustainable system that will provide reliable service and continue to meet increasingly stringent water quality standards for years to come are our greatest priorities," SUEZ Director of Operations Jim Mastrokalos said. "We apologize in advance for any interruptions in service or construction and will do our best to give customers ample notification of planned interruptions to water service."
The work will take place between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm during the week with the exception of holidays and bad weather conditions.
