Police in Atlantic Highlands have given a resident a summons for having a potentially dangerous dog after their pet escaped its fenced backyard and attacked another dog.
The husband and wife were struck Friday night, trying to cross Route 36 in Atlantic Highlands, police said. Now, a 27-year-old drive is facing charges.
A heads up for Monmouth County drivers, the NJ DOT will be starting pavement work along stretches of Route 36 which will occasionally close lanes and overnight ramp detours between now and the end of the year.
Already charged with allegedly burglarizing two homes and trespassing at another in Hazlet last week, a Little Egg Harbor man faces eight additional burglary counts.
