New Jersey Hall of Fame

The New Jersey Hall of Fame event tomorrow (Thursday) in Asbury Park got me thinking about the excitement of meeting famous people.

Bruce Springsteen, the cast of The Sopranos, and all of it was live from Asbury Park last night. The NJ Hall of Fame inducted some amazing people from our great state last night at Convention Hall/Paramount Theatre, and I couldn't believe who I had the great pleasure of hanging with backstage..

The New Jersey Hall of Fame is proud to present the Class of 2013 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies to honor the most recent inductees to the Hall.

When Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford walked toward me on the red carpet at the NJ Hall of Fame, I wanted to ask Frank about the Giants and his years at Monday Night Football, and I wanted to ask Kathie about her show. Then something came over me.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about what an inspiration Eric LeGrand has been to so many people. LeGrand, paralyzed while playing football for Rutgers 18 months ago, was recently awarded an NFL contract by former Rutgers and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano. I had the honor to meet both at this weekend's NJ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies.

The New Jersey Hall of Fame has inducted some big New Jersey names in past years. Figures so popular that you only need to use their first name to know who they are. There's Bruce, Frank, Yogi, Jon, Buzz and Shaquille just to name a few. This year even more people who have made New Jersey proud will be honored.

A week from tomorrow the New Jersey Hall of Fame's 5th Annual Induction ceremonies will take place at NJPAC and some more legendary Garden State names will be honored. Past honorees include Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Frank Sinatra, Danny DeVito and Jack Nicholson among others and the honorees of the Class of 2012 include Christopher Reeve, The E Street Band and Michael Douglas.

If you're like me and sick of only hearing about our state when it's the punchline of a joke, then the New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is a must see!
