You may have already guessed it, yes it's beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. Named one of the "must visit" destinations in all of America. In the article, they point out how Cape May is known for its "victorian" charm and the many vintage victorian homes (bed and breakfast), businesses, and hotels.

If you have never visited Cape May it is at the southernmost tip of New Jersey, Exit 0 on the Garden State Parkway. It is a beautiful seashore town. Cape May has history, beaches, charm, and unique shopping. A definite visit if you are coming to New Jersey.

Cape May refers to itself as "America's Original Seaside Resort" It's pretty cool that the town made this list. Some of my favorite sights include the Cape May Lighthouse, Sunset Beach, and the Washington Street Mall.

April and I made many visits to Cape May with the kids over the years and always a great time. What are YOUR favorite memories of beautiful Cape May?

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
