Toms River Student Named Miss NJ Collegiate America

Congratulations to Toms River's own, Samantha Mazza for being named Miss New Jersey Collegiate America.

Samantha, 18, and a student at Ocean County College will represent the state next July in the National Miss Collegiate America pageant in Orlando, Florida.

Mazza is a graduate of Toms River High School East (my alma mater, go Raiders!) After completing her two years at OCC, Samantha plans to attend Kean University.

What makes Samantha exceptional is her drive to help others.  Mazza volunteers for Toys for Tots, Teens for Jeans, and the NJ Miss Amazing Pageant which is dedicated to girls with special needs.

Samantha is also starting her own program called I.C.I.N.G. (Instilling Confidence in a New Generation), which focuses on encouraging and instilling confidence in girls, teens, and young women.
