Teen Surfaces in Virginia

Kayla Tufaro, the Toms River 18-year-old who left home of her own volition on August 11, has been found safe in Waynsboro, Virginia, according to township police.

Her disappearance prompted a Facebook page, now discontinued, and a concerted search by law enforcement including listing in the National Crime Information Center.

In a conversation with Waynsboro Police Corporal Alyssa Zullig, Kayla confirmed being in good health, reasserted that she left home of her own accord, and wanted no longer to be considered a missing person, authorities said..
