A group of students from Toms River High School South are coming together for something rather amazing.

Their names are Kelle Anwander, Jillia Panno, Alexa McEwan and Samantha Kohlhepp and here is the deal.

This Saturday, June 8th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, this group of high school sophomores are raising awareness about homelessness by hosting a charity walkathon on the high school's track that will benefit the Ocean's Harbor House.

According to their website, "Ocean’s Harbor House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency provides life assistance for homeless youth or those living in troubled circumstances. Staffed by caring experts, we freely give youth the individualized support they need to begin their healthy, happy, and ultimately successful life’s journey."

The entrance fee to participate is $5.00 but additional donations are more than welcome. There will also be a bake sale, games, music, and a food and clothing drive.

All of the money raised and items collected will be donated to the Ocean's Harbor House.

I am so proud of this group of high school students because it takes a lot to be so aware of the major issues in the community at this age.

Guys....job well done. Now go kick butt his weekend -- and YOU should join them.
