Top 5 Reasons to Run the Insane Inflatable 5k [LIST]
Obviously I'm not the fittest person, but I enjoy running a 5k from time to time, especially if they are more "fun runs" than races!
This is one of those runs. I'm ridiculously excited for it, and there's 5 reasons you should join me!
1) It's the coolest obstacle course I've ever seen.
Think...bouncy houses on steroids. Channel your inner little kid and walk/jog/run through a bouncy maze, bouncy ball pit, giant bouncy slide, bouncy military-style obstacles, and more...it's basically the most fun 5k EVER. How do you not laugh and enjoy yourself running through giant bouncy balls??
2) It's for adults AND kids.
Kids aged 6-11 can participate too, so bring the whole family! They'll have a separate start time, and they'll run through a 1/2 mile course that includes some of the more 'kid-friendly' obstacles the adults use. (Kids 12+ can run with the adults.)
3) It's a fun way to get activity in!
Be honest, when's the last time you were excited to do something that involved exercise? This is an awesome way to spend time with your family or friends and do something active at the same time! Better yet, since it's not a timed race, people of all different fitness levels can do it together without the pressure of a ticking clock!
4) Bragging rights
This event isn't available everywhere (yet), so you can brag to your friends across the country that you got to do it!
5) Have a good time while helping a great cause!
Why not help a local charity while having fun? We're teaming up with our friends at Hometown Heroes, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has helped countless folks here at the Jersey Shore. You can donate extra money to them when you register, and if you sign up for the 11 a.m. wave, a portion of the proceeds from your registration fee will go to them!
Not convinced yet? Watch this:
That slide at the end though!! Ahhhh I CAN'T WAIT!
You can sign up as teams or as an individual, but the sooner the better: Registration prices will go up TONIGHT at midnight!
And if you think you're too out of shape to do this, you have plenty of time to prepare. I went from full-on couch potato to running 2+ miles a day (back to couch potato...now back to running...) Check out my story HERE.
