Heads Up – If You Bought Salmon Burgers from NJ Costco Stores, They’re Being Recalled
Stop what you're doing, and open up your freezer.
If you bought any Trident Pacific Salmon Burgers from Costco, DO NOT eat them (thanks for the info, Delish!). The site says they're being recalled because they possibly could contain small pieces of metal. Here's some more info from Delish:
According to the FDA notice, the recall only affects a single lot number of Pacific Salmon Burgers sold in three-pound boxes. The burgers affected have a Lot Number GC101431 and a best by date of 01/14/2023. If you have the specific boxes involved in this recall, you should not consume the burgers, as there is a risk of a choking hazard as well as additional types of injury. You can take them back to your local Costco for a full refund. There have been no reports of any injury or illness linked to the salmon burgers that are under recall.
Yikes! It's important to note that this doesn't just affect Costco's here in Ocean County - it's nationwide. But, if you did happen to buy yours at an Ocean County Costco, here are their hours of operation:
Brick:
M-F 10am - 8:30 pm, Sat 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Sun 10 am - 6:00 pm
Stafford Township/Manahawkin:
M-F 10am - 8:30 pm, Sat 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Sun 10 am - 6:00 pm
It's also important to note that Costco won't be open for Easter, per the above stores' websites.
