When the DEA and local law enforcement went to the home on Monday, they greeted 39-year old Ricardo Clavijo of Egg Harbor and then found 37-year old Christopher Gonzalez in the basement where the illegal operation was being run.

To their investigate eyes, the DEA and law enforcement spotted a rather large operation as they discovered five kilogram-sized packages of suspected fentanyl, eight kilogram-sized packages of suspected fentanyl or cocaine, two kilogram-sized packages of suspected heroin, tens of thousands of pre-packaged individual doses of suspected heroin, additional narcotics packaging materials and paraphernalia and an electronic money counter.

In addition to the drugs, DEA Agents found a .45 caliber handgun, a loaded magazine for the handgun as well as a 9mm 50-round drum magazine.

Clavijo and Gonzalez were arrested, appeared before a judge and have been detained without bail.

The conspiracy count they are charged with could send them to prison for a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to a maximum of life in prison with a fine of $10 million, "or twice the gross gain or loss caused by the offense, whichever is greatest."

The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew B. Johns of the Criminal Division in Camden.

Defense counsel:
Clavijo: Christopher O’Malley Esq., Assistant Federal Public Defender, Camden.
Gonzalez: Megan Davies Esq., Haddonfield, New Jersey.
