Have cans of tuna in your pantry?

Read this before you pop them open!

Bumble Bee Foods has issued a voluntary recall of several types of canned tuna because of improperly sealed cans, which could cause contamination or spoilage.

The affected products are 5 oz. cans of Bumble Bee chunk white albacore in water, chunk white tuna in both water and vegetable oil, and Brunswick brand chunk light tuna in water.

The cans were sold between January and February of this year, and all had 'best by' dates ranging from January 14-18, 2016.

They were sold in 4 and 8-pack clusters, and 24 and 48-count cases.

No illnesses were reported, but you are asked to throw the products away.

Tri-Union Seafoods also recalled 5 oz. cans of Chicken of the Sea chunk white albacore in water because of poor seam quality on the cans. The cans all have a 'best by' date of January 17, 2017.
