Two teenage girls approached by suspicious man in Howell

Howell Police are investigating a report of a man who made two teenage girls feel very uncomfortable at the Howell Commons Shopping Center on Thursday afternoon.

The two teens called 9-1-1 after they were approached by a heavyset white man with a mustache smoking a cigarette who asked them if they wanted "cookies".

He was driving a beat up tan/off-white sedan.

Officers responded to the scene and stopped a similar vehicle but at this point don’t believe it was involved.

All parking lots and surrounding streets were canvassed with negative results and video is being analyzed.

The investigation is ongoing today.
