There is another really nice opportunity to get to know and communicate with the members of the Howell PBA Local 228 as they hold their 16th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 1 at the Girl Scouts Activity Center at 127 Yellowbrook Road from 1:00 to 6:00 pm and it's rain or shine.

The Howell PBA Local 228 helps and supports many local organizations in the community as well including Holiday Food Pantry Program, Domestic Violence Advocacy Center, Fighting H.A.R.D. Foundation, Howell Police Explorer Post, the Howell Little Leagues, Monmouth County Children's Advocacy Center, the Robert Baxter Memorial Scholarship Program, Howell Women's Self Defense Training Seminar, Thanksgiving and Easter/Passover Meals for Seniors and Shut-Ins, Holiday Bowling Party and Toy Giveaway for Less Fortunate Children, the Hammel Fund, Howell Senior Center - Food for the Frail & Lifeline for a Frail Senior, the John J. Lennon Memorial Scholarship, the New Jersey Special Olympics Torch Run, Howell Pop Warner Challenger Football, Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, 180 Turning Lives Around, YMCA of Western Monmouth, Howell Township Education Foundation, Howell Township Alliance, Howell Township Police Athletic League, Oceans of Love, Vincent Tesauro Jr. Helping Hands Foundation, Police Unity Tour, Lt. Dennis Zilinski Memorial Fund, Trooper Marc Castellano Children's Fund, Hawkswood School for the Children, and St. Rose Hockey Club.

At Oktoberfest, there will be unlimited beer and wine with a number of German and domestic beers on tap along with FREE expanded wine tasting.

As for food, there will be German cuisine, hot dogs, burgers, popcorn, and hot pretzels.

You'll also be able to enjoy several forms of entertainment at the Howell PBA Local 228 Oktoberfest as well from raffles, 50/50, music, door prizes, a clown, inflatables, spin art, face painting, and more.

Tickets are $50.00 for adults 21 and older and $20.00 for those 20 and younger with those under the age of 3 getting in for free.
