Two Toms River residents living in a Walnut Street apartment together may do time together after police found them in possession of 2,400 wax folds of heroin worth $10,000.00, marijuana and about $700.00 in cash.

The Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team went to the apartment of Louis Stokes, 40, and Tosha Hester, 46, Friday March 1 on the strength of a warrant and a month long investigation into heroin deals in the township.

As a result of these search warrant executions officers seized approximately 48 bricks (2,400 wax folds) of heroin, over a half pound of marijuana with an estimated the street value of approximately $10,000.00 and approximately $700.00 in U.S. currency.

Officers charged Stokes with possession of heroin, possession of over one half ounce of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana over one ounce with the intent to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute CDS on School Property.

Hester was charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of over one ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute CDS on School Property.

Stokes is currently being held at Ocean County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Hester was released on a summons pending a future court date.
