UFO Sighting Over Cape May Beach Still Haunts Me
I wanted to tell you the story about the time I saw a UFO over the beach in Cape May. I'm not joking, it really happened.
The UFO Over The Beach In Cape May
Let's start with a little background about my beliefs on this topic. I believe there are too many sightings for it to be nothing. So, yes, I believe some UFOs are real.
But I can also promise you this. I didn't go to Cape May to see ghosts, UFOs, or any other supernatural things. That is not me.
And yet, about 15 years ago, I was sitting on the upstairs porch at the Angel of the Sea in Cape May drinking a cup of coffee, and I suddenly saw a round, bright, white light in the sky over the beach.
Was It A UFO In Cape May?
It hovered silently for about 20 seconds, moved to the right, and then disappeared. By the time I went to tell someone what I saw, it reappeared. Two witnesses, one UFO.
Here's what I know the light in the sky wasn't:
It wasn't a plane. - I saw one light, no other light, no sound, and it didn't move at all like a plane.
Not A Helicopter - It wasn't that far away (maybe 200 yards), and I didn't hear a thing. And even though it was in the sky, it wasn't high at all.
Wasn't A Drone - I saw this light well before anyone was talking about drones. Was it one of the first drones in history? Maybe, but I don't think so.
People ask me why I didn't snap a shot on my phone. Good question. My phone was back in the room, and there wasn't time to grab it and still keep my eyes on the light. I wish I had it with me.
What was it? I'll never know, but that light made me think I was looking at something I'd never seen before and couldn't explain. I'll probably never know for sure.
