How To Send Valentine’s Day Care Packages To Our Troops 2019
Valentine's Day is practically upon us and honestly, it will be here before you know it. But let's keep in mind that not everyone will be able to spend the special day with their significant others.
So this is our chance to help.
The organization called ARMS has a goal to send every single service member a care package and therefore is currently collecting store-bought or handmade Valentine's Day cards, candy, stuffed animals, and some of the most needed items for our troops.
Most needed items include: sunscreen, lip balm, razors, shaving cream, baby wipes, eye drops, insect repellant, socks, coffee, drink mixes, snacks, chips, nuts, small boxes of cereal, pop tarts, single serve soup and pasta, ready to eat heat foods, convenience foods and condiments.
Important: If the care package is coming from a child, please do not include their last name! Otherwise, your donation will not be sent out to our troops!
I actually spoke with Director of Arms, Ronnie Micciulla and she said that 2000 National Guardsman will be deployed by February 4th and will be gone for an entire year.
"These soldiers are from New Jersey and the idea is to let them know that where they come from cares about them and is thankful for their sacrifice," said Micciulla.
There is no set deadline because care packages will be continuously sent out even after the holiday and who doesn't ever enjoy receiving a homemade card!?
So no matter how big or small of a donation, pull it together and all you have to do is bring it to one of the many drop off points throughout the Jersey Shore.
Take a look at the drop off points scattered throughout the Jersey Shore so you can be a part of one amazing cause.
