A vehicle carrying Acetylene and Oxygen for Advantage Mechanical out of Hazlet caught fire Monday morning around 11:47 am sending the driver to the hospital.

Anthony Annucci, 23, of Port Monmouth was heading on West Park Avenue when the bottles became unsecure and unstable which police say led to the vehicle catching on fire.

Annucci was transported to the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank for minor burns.

The car fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshall's Office.

Members of the Tinton Falls OEM, Tinton Falls Fire Companies, Tinton Falls EMS and the County Hazmat Teams assisted Tinton Falls Police at the scene.
