My Visit to the Cat Cafe in Asbury Park

This is a tea & coffee house and cat lounge all in one on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park. Here are some photos from my afternoon there.

It's called the Catsbury Park Cafe and I've been meaning to get there since it opened. Now I'll probably go back as often as possible!

If you are a cat lover, and if you love coffee and tea, this is the place for you! First of all, it's beautiful inside, secondly the tea and coffee are delicious!!! The tea is served in a beautiful glass pot with fresh leaves, and there's enough for 3 cups.

It'll make you smile to watch the cats at play while you relax...they're in a separate but attached room that is all glass so that you can see cats on the floor, walls, and even ceiling!

These cats are all up for adoption, and, if you truly love cats, you can pay for entry into the room to play with the while you drink your beverage, or before/afterwards (prices range from $7 - $11). It's hard to resist going inside to put these beauties...and the money all goes to help support the rescues.

Catsbury Park is a non-profit that is helping rescue and find homes for cats, so the money raised all goes to a great cause.

You can also find some adorable cat gift items and cat-themed (human) food and snacks. And on all the tables and the bar area are placards that tell you each cat's story so that you know the names and background of each cat that's currently up for adoption.
