So Walmart is looking to hire a few robots apparently.

The world's largest retailer just announced that they will be releasing 360 automatic floor-scrubbing robots that will be in stores by the end of January of 2019!

These robots are ready to scrub the floors squeaky clean all on their own and can even do so when customers are around! At first, the robots will just need to be taught the layout of their particular store.

Walmart has also began experimenting with cashier-less stores and automated systems for out-of-stock items and hauling products from storage for online orders. Basically the way it is looking, these robots can be assembled to take care of just about any task!

“We can take anything that has wheels and turn it into a fully autonomous robot, provided that it can go slow and stopping is never a safety concern,” said Brain Chief Executive Office Eugene Izhikevich

However, I started to worry about people's jobs when I started reading this article but DON'T WORRY! As it turns out, the software is going to be utilized so that more important tasks can be the employees' main focus because you can never replace face-to-face human interaction and customer service.

“BrainOS is a powerful tool in helping our associates complete repetitive tasks so they can focus on other tasks within role and spend more time serving customers,” said Walmart's VP of Central Operations, John Crecelius.
