New Jersey Wawa Closing: Is It Yours?
There's practically one on every corner (in some areas of the state anyway) but there's still room for more.
We're constantly hearing about new ones being built and a travel center could be coming to New Jersey in the future.
That's why it was so shocking for those in this New Jersey town when they heard their local Wawa, there for 51 years, was closing in just a few weeks. It's a smaller one that doesn't sell gasoline.
Wawa is trying out something new and maybe one day we'll see it here in New Jersey, but for now, many locations that don't sell gasoline are closing.
Open in Washington D.C. and 8 states, Wawa is testing out its first travel center down south.
It's a way bigger Wawa, close to 8,500 square feet, that would be for both truckers and motorists.
The Courier Post states:
Six lanes are to serve diesel buyers, along with 20 fuel spots for conventional motorists. Amenities are to include parking for tractor-trailers and a weigh station, as well as "well-appointed restrooms and a pet relief area."

It'll also have indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy your hoagie, soft pretzel, and fountain soda!
This new Wawa travel center is being tested along an interstate highway near Fayetteville, North Carolina.
If it's a success, maybe we'll see a few here in New Jersey.
For now, those in Cherry Hill will have to find a new location with the Wawa at 1110 Marlton Pike East set to close on Tuesday, Oct. 8th.
