A lot of states in the USA are banning plastic grocery bags and New Jersey has already started to take steps to follow suit.

One of those ways is to charge customers per plastic bag at grocery stores.

Well, Wegmans is looking to save you some money.

The grocery chain sent out an email this past Thursday to members of their Shoppers Club saying that shoppers can exchange a bag of clean plastic bags for a Wegmans reusable shopping bag.

But the only time you can take advantage of this deal is on Saturday, April 27th (ps. THAT'S TOMORROW) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

All customers are eligible and all Wegmans are participating in this offer.

Not sure where to go? Luckily there are Wegmans in Ocean and Englishtown but click HERE for the Wegmans Store Locator.

Don't think that this could make a difference? Well Wegmans predicted that if all of their customers used just one reusable bag per shopping, over 300 million fewer plastic bags would be used each year.

So yes, going green is going to take some spending but Wegmans is trying to give you a break so take advantage.
