Saturday was too nice not to take a walk on the beach. So I did. At one point I stopped to watch the incredible waves for a few minutes. When I went to step away I noticed something shiny under my shoe. This is what I saw.

20-cents! Cool. I put them in my pocket and went on about my day. When I mentioned it to someone they said that finding a dime, or dimes is often a loved one who passed on saying hello.

I've heard this about butterflies, dragonflies, and cardinals, but never about dimes. So I did a little investigating online. There are varying different theories:

– Someone or something is trying to get your attention.
– Guidance or validation that you’re on the right path.
– Ancestors, spirits, or deceased loved ones want you to know they’re looking out for you.
– The number 10 symbolizes a circle, so a dime might indicate coming full circle.

You'll notice that one dime was heads up, and the other was heads down. Upon further research, there is supposedly a difference.

I'm hoping those dimes are from my Dad. He passed away two years ago. Interestingly, the beach has a lot of significance in my family.
