When Are Gift Cards A Good Gift? [POLL]

By now, you must be hip deep in your Christmas shopping, and if you're like me, you leave the tough gifts for last. That can be a real challenge.

It's not long before your mind wanders to gift cards. For me, gift cards are great for many people on your list. If someone asks for one, then it's great. If it's someone who loves to do their own shopping, then that's excellent. It's also a great gift for someone on the list who you just don't know enough about to actually pick out an item.

But I still have a hard time getting a gift card for someone who I know is going to spend time shopping for their gift for me. I feel like they took the time to hand pick something for me and I should return the favor. Maybe I'm just old school about it, so I want to know what you think.
