Why Are We Doing This To Our Whales? Another Washes Up Seaside

This is so sad but the real question is, when are we going to stop causing it?

Another body of a beautiful humpback whale washed a shore this morning, this time in Seaside Park. It had been floating for a while and finally made its final destination on our shores.

She was about 10 feet long. I'm not going to sugarcoat my opinion, humans ruin everything. While no one is exactly sure what is causing the carnage, it is a pretty safe bet that we are responsible. Yet another dead whale is not a coincidence, to me, it is proof that we only care about ourselves. These whales would be living in harmony if we were not inserting ourselves into their ecosystem by "trying to make things better".

Since December 20th whales have been washing a shore from New England to the Carolinas and everywhere in between with the Jersey Shore being a hot spot. This is our seventh whale death that made it to shore, and who knows how many more are out there.

One common theory is that sonar is being used to find a building site for 500 wind turbines off the coast of Atlantic City, Long Branch, and Long Beach is literally driving the sealife crazy. There is a big ask of our governor to put a stop to this project until we can investigate if that is true.

Some experts say that the sonar throws off our sea life's ability to navigate their waters and they are getting hit by vessels and beaching themselves as a result. It sounds like a torturous way to die. The question is, how many more bodies need to wash up before we do something about it?
